Chỉ thói đối xử thiên lệch, chọn người mà mời mọc hay chia phần, khiến người cùng hàng, cùng họ hàng hoặc làng xóm bị bỏ sót phải chạnh lòng. Ở dị bản này, “giàu cách mắt” là cách nói chệch của “giầu/trầu cách mắt”, vẫn nhấn vào việc cố ý bỏ qua người gần gũi để đối đãi không đều.
